We teachers sadly had to say goodbye to Reunion Island and leave our students there for a little longer time.😥 However, they have really wonderful host families and mentor teachers taking care of them there. 🙏💕 School keeps them busy with their various sustainability activities, too! 🌱🌳

Laanila & Svenska Privatskolan's Erasmus+ long-term exchange students spending their Easter break sunbathing and swimming in the Indian Ocean ⛱️ as well as exploring the volcano Piton de la Fournaise 🌋, Réunion National Park, a World Heritage Site.

Life lessons from a sea turtle: 🐢

The exchange life in Reunion Island continues. The Finnish students are getting used to exotic fruits, sweeter breakfasts and spicier late-night dinners, but the French cheek kisses still need a bit of practicing! 😅💋😘🥰

Exploring the cultural differences in Finnish and French school systems and lives in general. 🇫🇮🤔🇲🇫Cool to be able to take the cooking class and be able to call your teacher by their first names.👍
However, no kissing on cheeks 😘 nor an easy way to get to know a Finn... 🤔
